The NFL contains a lot of different influences for a various amount of people. When it comes to the people who are involved with the NFL most of the people have a certain someone or people who helped them get to where they are today.
When it comes to players I chose as influences, I chose current wide receiver Antonio Brown as one influence. Antonio Brown said that his main influence was has father. His father played as a professional arena football player. So he grew up around this sport. The next NFL player I chose was Pat McAfee. Pat was a former punter who played for a variety of teams. His influences was his father as well and kicker, Adam Vinatieri. Adam is considered the oldest player in the NFL at 46. Pat played beside Adam when he played for the colts. Adam's influence is Matt Bahr who was also a kicker for various teams in 1979. Adam played along the side of Matt, who taught him some "tactics" for kicking in general. I struggled to find influences for other people who are involved with the NFL such as analyst and even the commissioner.
What I found out with this research is the players that have influences often have their influences as people who are in the same situations as these players. By situations, I mean game situations, positions in general and teams they played for. Like mentioned previously, these people who are influences for these players, in some way, aided these player become the people they are today, on and off the field.
